Why this kit matters

The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the most iconic fighter aircraft of World War II, renowned for its role in the Battle of Britain and subsequent operations. The "Sweeps" refer to offensive missions flown by RAF Fighter Command over occupied Europe in 1941-1942, aiming to engage enemy aircraft and support Allied operations. These missions showcased the Spitfire's agility and the bravery of its pilots.

This kit allows you to recreate two Spitfire Mk.Vb aircraft as flown during these daring sweeps. With accurate details and authentic markings, it offers a rewarding build and a tribute to the pilots who flew in these historic operations. The Spitfire remains a symbol of British engineering and wartime resilience, making this model a meaningful addition to any collection.
