Nine-Gauge Copper, Woven and Finished by Hand

Oval 9 is a thick 9-gauge cable made from oxygen-free copper. There's plenty of metal here to carry deep bass at high volume without strain, and enough to keep resistance low across a longer run.

Instead of one solid wire, which can kink and deform over time, Analysis Plus weaves many strands into a braid. The pattern puts every strand about the same distance from the return current. That braid can't be machine-terminated, so each cable gets more than an hour of handwork before it ships.

Is This Right for You?

A few things to check before you order:

• This is a complete pair. You get two 10-foot cables, one for each speaker. There's no need to order two.
• Check your binding posts before you pick spades. Spades give a wide, solid contact and suit normal five-way posts well. If your posts are recessed or shrouded and hard to tighten a spade onto, bananas are the safer choice. Give us a call and we'll help you sort it out.
• Nine gauge is a thick cable. It's heavier and stiffer than lamp cord. Give it a gentle curve behind your speakers instead of a sharp corner.

Setup & Installation

Slide each spade under a binding post nut and tighten it by hand until the spade sits flat against the post. Watch your polarity: red to positive, black to negative, the same way on both channels. Both ends are identical, so it doesn't matter which one goes to the amp.

Ten feet suits speakers set a comfortable distance from your rack. Measure the real path the cable will travel, not the straight line, and leave a little slack so its weight doesn't pull on the connectors.
