Built exclusively for the Japanese market, it featured a lightweight chassis, a high-revving B16B engine, and a focus on pure driving enjoyment. Its reputation for sharp handling and motorsport-inspired engineering made it a favourite among car enthusiasts worldwide.

The EK9 Type R has become a symbol of the golden era of Japanese performance cars. Its influence extends to motorsport, street culture, and the global tuning scene. Building this scale model lets you appreciate the engineering and design that made the EK9 a legend in the world of hot hatches.
