The Perfect Vision "Editors Choice" Award

Best-Selling, Outstanding Value Cable

Kimber Kable 8TC speaker cable is one of the most outstanding high-end audio values today and has been featured in Stereophile as a "Recommended Component." And that's quite a recommendation.

Kimber Kable 8TC speaker cable has honored with numerous inclusions in The Absolute Sound High-End Audio Buyer's Guide. And according to the November 2018 issue of The Absolute Sound magazine, "The 8TC speaker cable has the elusive ability to remain musical no matter what is happening fore or aft, ideally mediating detail, liveliness, tonal neutrality, and dynamic contrasts within a very realistic, holographic soundstage."

"Superbly neutral, transparent, and never, ever guilty of wrongdoing, 8TC has been the one constant in my system these last twenty year," concludes Paul Seydor in the October 2010 issue of The Absolute Sound magazine.

"Recommended Component" Honors

Stereophile honored Kimber Kable 8TC speaker cable by awarding it the magazine's coveted Recommend Component status for 2024.

8TC has not been officially reviewed in Stereophile , but was previously used in reviewing by Jon Marks in his column "The Fifth Element" and has impressed so much as to be included in the Recommended Components list.

"Editors Choice" Award from Hi-Fi Choice

But that's not all! England's audiophile journal Hi-Fi Choice bestowed its coveted Editor's Choice award on 8TC in its special Awards 2003 issue, applauding the Kimber speaker cable as "particularly good at imaging and with firm bass."

"Rare Coherence and Extension"

The Absolute Sound gets in on the high praise with Paul Seydor's February / March 2004 review. "Paul Hillier's baritone and Andrew Lawrence King's harps and psaltery in their beautiful Harmonia Mundi Bitter Ballads recital are captured in a rich ambience, which Kimber's 8TC renders with rare coherence and extension."

The Absolute Sound's Neil Gader agrees. "In terms of sheer value, the Kimber Kable 8TC remains an excellent choice, and I fully endorse Paul's enthusiasm."

"Editors Choice" Award from The Perfect Vision

Kimber Kable 8TC won an "Editors' Choice" award in the Winter 2007 Home Theater Buyer's Guide from The Perfect Vision magazine.

"The 8TC speaker cable has that elusive ability to remain musical no matter what is happening for or aft, ideally mediating detail, liveliness, tonal neutrality, and dynamic contrasts, with a very realistic soundstage," reports The Perfect Vision.

Advanced Metallurgy and Geometry

Using the same acclaimed conductors as Kimber's popular 4TC speaker cable in a larger and higher current braid, 8TC offers true full-range performance in hi-fi applications. It's also great for front, center, and subwoofer speakers in home theater systems.

Kimber 8TC consists of 16 individual TC conductors (eight black, eight blue) in a larger format braid. Kimber's patented Varistrand™ technology incorporates seven specifically selected strand gauges within one conductor made from hyper-pure copper with first-quality surface finishes. The aggregate wire size is equivalent to two #9 AWG conductors. Complementing the advanced metallurgy is 8TC's custom Teflon™ dielectric.

By virtue of its full, accurate, and dimensional sound 8TC ranks as one of the best-sounding moderately priced speaker cables on the market today.

"Outstanding Performer by Any Measure"

"I can personally vouch for its versatility and benefits: great neutrality, transparency, and musicality, and a comfortable fit with amplifiers that never causes them distress," concludes the review in The Absolute Sound. "The 8TC has that elusive ability to remain musical no matter what’s happening fore or aft: an outstanding performer by any measure."

Kimber PM33 Postmaster spades are special larger locking spades that fit oversized diameter ¬0.28" through 0.345" ¬ binding posts.

"Internal Bi-wire", aka IBW, means the cable has one set of connections (+/-) on the amp end, but two sets of connections on the speaker end. This configuration is recommended for loudspeakers set up for bi-wiring. If your speakers are not set up for bi-wiring you should not purchase cables terminated this way.
